Managed to post 3 parcels, but still not heard back from the other buyer. I made a mistake in the listing and need to know if she wants to go ahead or get a refund, but no replies to messages.

    Well done everyone:T :T

Klane bad luck on the parking ticket, frustrating when things like that happen when you are doing your best to get sorted financially:doh:

    - had a NSD so far
    - brought lunch in from home
    - did a mystery shop, got to fill in the report next
    - accepted 2 more mystery shops for Fri & Sat from a new company I signed up to
    - checked online banking
    - combining a work thing tonight with a social thing after, so most of the costs will be expensable hopefully.

On a really crap tip though, I overslept for work this morning, and found the traffic warden had obviously been stood at the top of my street WAITING for the clock to tick over to 8am. They gave me a ticket at 8:01am for £50, providing I pay up within 14 days, otherwise it's £100 within 28. I did 3 hours unpaid overtime at work last night, so by the time I got home, the street was full and I could barely squeeze my car at the end of the road. It overhung the double yellow lines by about a foot. I can't really contest that, but for **** sake that was the last thing I needed to start today with. :wall: Not very good for being a DFW.

    Hi there

    Today I:
    * got a lift down to a meeting with a friend/ work colleague
    * got the bus home using my free bus pass
    * popped £2 x 2 into my tin!
    * managed to blag an invite to a free buffet lunch in return for a 3 minute presentation about my job!
    * haven't put the heating on since I got in from work!
    * texts some friends using my 'free' texts

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Today I acquired a Karcher vacuum cleaner from Freecycle. I also bought 2 tons of semi-seasoned wood for a semi-reasonable price instead of buying fully seasoned wood at full price. I only hope that this investment [£50/metre cube bag] is a decent price!

I had coffee and a piece of HM lemon drizzle cake for lunch and coffee for breakfast - but I don't suppose that that'll be a good idea every day!

My finest moment? Getting my OH to at least consider how much money he spends, and agreeing to having pocket money for the month instead of the usual hole in the wall access. Only taken 5 years .....
