When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I have /will

Hi everyone, i was on a course yesterday so didn't get to pop on her!
Today I have brought in breakfast and lunch, and am going to go to the bank to pay in a self-employed cheque... I am working on calling my car insurance company to negotiate them down if I can find a free room somewhere... done a piggy click and need to follow them up about missing points, too.
Have just checked internet banking and done some minor changes to my spreadsheet, which is by far my biggest motivating tool, I hate having to change it for spends!!
About to read martin's email for some tips!
Hope it's sunny with you

On a really crap tip though, I overslept for work this morning, and found the traffic warden had obviously been stood at the top of my street WAITING for the clock to tick over to 8am. They gave me a ticket at 8:01am for £50, providing I pay up within 14 days, otherwise it's £100 within 28. I did 3 hours unpaid overtime at work last night, so by the time I got home, the street was full and I could barely squeeze my car at the end of the road. It overhung the double yellow lines by about a foot. I can't really contest that, but for **** sake that was the last thing I needed to start today with. :wall: Not very good for being a DFW.Debt - Loan: £1150 C/C: £4763 @ 0%.0
