I can highly recommend peppermint tea as an anti-spasmodic if you get griping stomach pains Gemmzie. I know it doesn't cure anything, but it has helped me through numerous stomach bugs, food poisoning, morning sickness....etc."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Even nearly five months?
Oh yes - before the fabulous health system discovered that a bacteria caused stomach ulcers, people went for years with them.Yes but only privately as the NHS have given up on me apparently "conventional medicine can't do anything for me"
That just means they think you're going to be expensive.

Now French, we're going all [strike]cosmopolitan[/strike] [strike]cosmological[/strike] posh on this thread...
Oh no..obviously got my worms mixed up again...must have got the wrong dictionary out...
Oh? That sounds bad. :grouphug:
Yes....it is all pretty seriously scarey sshiite.. ....which has been going on for 9 months now  and would appear to have no let up for at least another 3-4 months.  But the prospective court case evidence is coming along nicely afetr today
 ...although that will take another year:mad: ...and I might have to resort to finding a [STRIKE]sugar daddy/wealthy [/STRIKE] sponsor
Does rice have gluten?
Absolutely correct (I'm also allergic to rice) as do oats (porridge etc) (which I'm not)
However try wheat first then rice..... otherwise diet consists purely of potatoes from day 1 ...which is great for weight loss...but gets extremely boring after 3 months.
BTW..allergy could be temporary whie undergoing stress..at least that's what I'm hoping with me...because I could kill for a piece of french bread and cheese...and have been known on the odd desperate occasion to truck over to Sainsburys on a sunday afternoon just for a sniff of the bakery

No dairy since 2005, no wheat/gluten since March 2007, don't eat meat.
Infact, all I can stomach since Christmas is a very small list of fruit/veg, plain fish, wheat-free pasta, soya milk and cereal.
Hmmmmm...this is not classic gastroeneteritis.

Agree with Z'ds post about expense. Need to know how/what they have tested and what symptoms are.
G...this Requires more investigation/info and Q/A. Not on public forum perhaps. If you want to PM me with your phone number and time tomorrow I will ring.
Completely understand and empathise with what you;re going through....
Big hugs

Hi Boo
Good to see you
How's things?
Yep..starch...is a no-no. Even Sainsburys ready meals of bangers and mash, chilli or liver and bacon have starch in them (flour for thickening sauce)
And only sainsbury's stock gluten free sausages (none in Tescos...have been through every pack!!)
Entrepreneurial thought....business specialising in meals/food for us poor senstive gut people??
