I note that no one else has responded to you, and if they had I would not bother you with my "when I was a lad" stories"!!
Having said that, Commercial Union (now part of the Norwich Union) used to offer event insurance. Cornhill (now part of Allianz) also used to provide cover.
If you are looking for cover for a small event (this is going to sound stupid but..) then pick up a wedding magazine next time you are shopping and have a look through it for insurers that arrange wedding insurance; they may be able to help you.
Alternatively, speak to the people that own the venue and see if they can put you in touch with their insurance brokers; they should have cover available.
Good luck with the event, whatever it is.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
