Free Haircut at the Hair Group

15 April 2008

What's it all about?

Cosmopolitan magazine is offering a free salon haircut for every reader. As a cut and blow dry normally costs £30-40, this is a fab deal. The offer is run by a company called The Hair Group on behalf of Cosmopolitan (and other websites and magazines) which administers the offer and uses local independent salons.

What do I need to do?

Go to Cosmopolitan.co.uk, fill in the coupon with your details and send to The Hair Group/Cosmopolitan, Unit F Penfold Estate, Imperial Way, Watford, Herts WD24 4YY. You can find out if there is a salon near you by visting www.hairgroup.co.uk. You won't be told exactly which salon it is as it's top secret info, but you'll be told if there's one in your postcode.

Once the Hairgroup has received your coupon it will forward this on to your nearest salon which will then contact you within 30 days to book an appointment for you. It must have received your coupon by 30 June.

Any snags?

The offer includes a free cut and blow dry, anything in addition will be charged at the salon's normal rates.

No more than one Hair Group voucher can be used in any 12 month period.
Only those over 18 years old can use the voucher.

The salon has the right to choose the level of technician and the day of the week. Once allocated a salon, the voucher is valid for 3 months.

PS. This deal was originally spotted by MoneySaver OberonSH below. Thanks for the top spot! This post has been inserted to provide a more detailed explaination and research for MoneySavers coming from the weekly email

Thanks for posting. Just so everyone knows, it says:

"No more than one Hair Group voucher per person can be redeemed in a 12 month period."

Ok, got a question. I've read through the terms and conditions and it says that only an original voucher is allowed, nothing photocopied etc. So is the original voucher in the magazine or are we supposed to print out the voucher on the internet page? Thanks :)

When it comes to choosing a stylist, I guess you don't have a say here and you will only have to accept being a 'model' in the end of the day! Is it really worth the wait? I don't know. You see many adverts 'Models required' in salons nowadays. Why not just walk in and book an appointment. My own honest opinion, unless it is a treatment session, I cannot risk having an inexperienced hairdresser testing out their skills on my hair. Not a cut anyway! having said that, it also depends on how lucky you are and not all senior stylists are natural born talents either  It IS confusing!
  • none in suffolk anyway :(
