Lcd Problem

My neighbour has a weird problem wiht his lcd display.

The start button wont work when clicked with the mouse sometimes, 3 or 4 times out of ten maybe and also the desktop background goes chunky.

Tried his base unit on my lcd screen and its fine, never not presses start. Also swapped the graphics card around, that works ok to.

The LCD is a neoveo 15" Lcd monitor.

It all points to the monitor going faulty but never seen one do this before, anyone else?

I don't see how the LCD screen being faulty would affect the Start button, but I guess it could be working fine, just not showing on the screen. Is it safe to assume that the Windows button works correctly on his base unit? Does the Start Menu come up ok when this is pressed?

Anyway, I think a driver reinstall may be helpful, it might just be that they have become corrupted or changed somehow. Neovo's website is below.

  • If the mouse pointer still moved, there is no way the LCD could be causing this.
