Hey everyone,

Extensive PC useage over the years has given me an inflammed nerve in my left arm. Can pain a bit and my GP has advised me to only use the PC continuous every 20mins then take a small break till my treatment begins.
Was wondering if these is a program/widget out there that acts like an alarm on my PC that I can set to go off every 20mins to remind me to take a break?

many thanks

which OS do you have...if its vista use the notes on the sidebar to remind you...if its xp get sticky notes or a kitchen timer on the desk...:rotfl:sorry it can be painfull got it myself some years back...best thing to be is not rest your wrists on anything as your hands should be going down to the keyboard not up...and the pain will stop you from resting them on anything...this is what I do as I don't rest my hands on the desk or keyboard just sort of above it not touching...if you need to rest them put them on your lap...:D

they said I had RSI but it turned out to be arthitus oestio-and rhumatiod...in both arms should have know really I had a bad accident when I was 5 that's 41 year's ago now where both my arm's went through a washing machine wringer...thanks to my big half brother..."bet you can't do that " so I did and ended up having operations on both arms now my elbows are double jointed and it looks like they put my elbows on the wrong way...they didn't but they look odd...they can't do anything now but I should have had them pinned together...I am always knocking them out of joint...painfull...I have used a computer for about the pass 15 years work related...so I knew it wasn't that...but a simple blood test can show it up...then they sent me for a scan which also showed it up...it has gone to my neck now so most days I have a neck brace...I also broke my back when I was 21 when I was in the army...so that hasn't helped...it's all coming out now...in my 40's...although 6 months after my accident I started walking again and went on to become a police officer...of which I left or rather took sick leave 6 year's ago now...as I was injured on duty...but probably saved my life as after having scan's they found a tumour in my right foot which I have since lost half of that last summer but if all goes well I maybe able to go back to a desk job...or take early retirement...with full pension...it all depends how things go this year...fingers crossed and all that...:)
