When to switch from halifax?

i am currently on a halifax student account with 0% overdraft which ends in september. i will be more or less permanently out of my overdraft, if not this month then the next. i want to switch from halifax for a variety of reasons, but don't know whether to wait til september (just in case i do need that overdraft) or switch now and hopefully get better interest, at least while a decent amount of money's in there (which should be most of the month)
thanks
thanks

hi, you could keep the halifax account open, in case you need it, until september when the overdraft starts incurring interest and open a new account now and start getting some interest!!
