Thanks for that Toniq, it's sad that some people can't be happy for people who are winning. Yes, I would love to win something but I love hearing about others wins and would never begrudge them those wins.

I just don't get this comp either, I have entered so many times at 8 or 8.01, 8.02, but have only "won" one prize. :mad: Its not that Im not happy for those who are winning all the time but when its supposed to be first come first served how then do people who enter at 8.15 end up winning?

Im sure is not always first come first served as i have proof i entered an hour before 2 mates who got lippy, where i didnt xx

What im doing is using firefox as for me all my wins have been on it, but munchkim has won all hers on IE xxx I think there is an element of first come in this as if u look back so many have won,
Personally from the techie i live with i believe its down to the server, as he keeps saying it can only accept so many requests at once, i tested this theory today by having two very fast laptops on, with a very highspeed broadband ( 1 box to exchange!) and noticed on the first laptop i might have F5 the giveaway page and entered details first but laptop b was the one that refreshed faster and submitted whilst laptop A had stalled on white page but was hit at 08:00 where as laptop b was hit at 08:03 xxxx so i put all our early non hitters down to simple server traffic xxxx obviously for this type of comp there is more than one server xxx

I'm glad someone is winning these comps as at least we know it's not a lost cause but I think it's wrong of Glamour to state 'first entries win' when they clearly don't. It should be completely random if they can't make this happen.

Toniq, I have to agree with you: I also think it depends on the servers/traffic .This is most likely to be the reason why rules for winning/losing do not seem to make a lot of sense for many of us. Pheobe explained in an email that they are receiving thousands of emails a minute :eek: and that they have to sort them out in terms of fractions of a minute Good luck for the rest of the month: There are still 10 days to go!
