Capital 1 default...help needed!!

Dear all,

Advice needed!!

I had a Capital 1 card in 2005/6. I defaulted on the card but had approxamatley £400 in charges added to the debt. It was reffered to a company called Lowell Portfolio. I have paid off all the debt to Lowell, and have written a letter to Lowell/Capital 1 asking them to remove the default notice as I never recieved the notice. Now I am wondering should I offer to offset the charges if they remove the default?

Please tell me what you think.

Thank you for your help

    Hello puma21,

I am in the same situation with Argos Card Services. I have ccj though, not default. Am wondering if they would be willing to remove if I dont claim my charges (nearly £300.00). Has anyone else tried this and been sucessful?

    Regards,
