Are your DSR's all above 4.5?

PayPal will not hold payments for eBay items if you meet the following criteria:
    • You have been an eBay member for more than 6-months, and
    • Your total Feedback score is greater than 100, and
    • Fewer than 5% of your transactions result in dissatisfied buyers*
    Or
    • Your average DSR is greater than 4.5, and
    • Your have received more than 20 DSRs in the last 12 months

    Hi Steviebabes,

Yes my DSRs are 4.9,4.9,4.9 and 4.8!

I guess it may not apply to me then:confused:

If it does I shall take offence at this statement from the announcement

"To ensure this continues, PayPal is targeting a very small percentage of sellers who pose the greatest risk of driving away buyers by not successfully completing a transaction, and holding their payments until we know that everything in the transaction has gone to plan.
This measure is targeted at a small percentage of sellers and the overwhelming majority of sellers will be unaffected."

Thanks to all for the opinions and discussion:beer:

    Totally infuriating.

    Smithers ; release the hounds.
  • I noticed the warning about payments being held when I tried to submit an auction today using Turbo Lister. I was suprised to say the least but having noticed how long it takes to transfer funds out of PayPal and into my REAL bank I was not too suprised.

I also noticed that the item I was trying to sell had a £14 limit regrding how much I can charge for postage. This is not enough to cover the costs for insured Stanard Parcel Post, plus the service does not enable signature on delivery! Well to get around that I will have bump up the item cost / reserve to ensure I get a better price to cover the true postage costs and get a signature. Hmmmmmm this will mean that the "final item value" on which eBay/PayPal base their commision will be higher and they will make more money out of the transaction. Do you get it? It is squeezing more money out of the transaction for eBay/PayPal and I think it is now clear cut as ever that these organisations are criminal and need to be regulated by the EU. All the sellers I know are faced with putting their prices up to cover the postage cost restrictions.

    eBid here I come.

I'm sure ebid will be delighted to welcome you. There is a long standing thread on here which if you post on it will get assistance from some regular ebid members. I will find the thread and bump it for you.

Either way they win, you either post it on the cheap and the paypal don't have to cough up when the buyer pretends it didn't arrive, or you blow up the auction price to include a proper shipping service and ebay gets more money.

    Ebay/paypal.

    See cartels.
