Saved Insurance Quotes and Quidco

It's time to renew my insurance, Priviledge seem to be cheaper. However, the quote is around £5 more expensive now than my saved quote from two weeks ago.

If I go to the Privilege website via Quidco, and load my old cheaper quote up would I still get my £60 quidco? (it was £100 cashback at the time I got the original quote!)

Thanks

Sounds too risky. You could be down £60 for the sake of a fiver.

    Hi,

I have the same problem. The quote I saved a few weeks ago is almost £50 cheaper than the one they're quoting me now for exactly the same thing. The quidco cashback is £60 (£55 if you take off the £5 membership fee), so I'd be saving at most £5 with quidco.

I wondered whether to go with a new quote and quidco, or use the cheaper saved one, and attempt it through quidco in the hope I might get a further £60 off it.

I'm just not sure whether to risk going for the more expensive one and hopefully quidco works (otherwise I'd be way out of pocket) and wait for the payment, or just go for the cheaper one and try quidco anyway.

On a side note, the quote is saved under my old e-mail address. I assume it wouldn't cost to change the e-mail address? If they did try charge an admin fee, I would just keep it at the old one as I can still access it.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Graham.

Graham's is a no-brainer, go though quidco and then use the save quote (assuming it wasn't generated though some other referral/comparison link) and get the £50 cheaper quote. If it doesn't track raise an earnings enquiry.

With the OP, I'd clear cookies, log in to quidco, get a new quote and buy from there, as Quentin already said, not worth the hassle for a fiver.

    Hey Lorian,

Thanks for the response. I wasn't sure if quidco is able to track saved quotes as it suggests not to in the help section.

Do they still aim to track saved ones, yea? But I guess just advice is that it's more likely to track if you don't use a saved one.

I had used comparison websites, but I'm pretty sure that quote was generated on the website itself using my own login. Is there any way I could tell for definite?

So should quidco still sort it out for a saved quote through an enquiry, even if it didn't track.

    Thanks again for the help,

    Graham.
