crikey, lol! my spud didn't eat food until he was around a year old, he had fromage frais at 9 months but had absolutely no interest in food. the health visitor told me to stop his milk to make him hungry (just give him water to drink, only one milk drink at bedtime), she said this when he was only 7 months old, i doubt a health visitor would say that now just 9 years later, they now say that the milk is the most important thing when they're little. i did follow her advice for a day or so but it didn't make spud want food, he still refused. being weaned late hasn't done him any harm food-wise, he's the only child i know who eats broccoli lol! a lot of the early weaned babies i know are carb junkies, they eat several things but all are just wheat flour in different forms.
no my MIL is fine, she thinks all parents should do what they think best. i think she got a lot of stick when she was a mum in the 70's, she went back to work.52% tight0
