Try to print, "save as" box appears

This may be a silly question but every time i try to print, wherever it is the print button or thro ctrl+P all i get is the save as diealog box as if i have clicked on the "save as" option.
Any ideas anyone???

Assuming you have a PC ...
Try Start button - "Printers & Faxes". Can you see your printer in the window that opens?
If so has it got a black circle with a tick in it. If not then right click on the printer icon for your printer and select "set as default".
Does the icon of your printer appear faint? If so it indicates that the printer is off line. Check printer, cables and switches.
If all else fails ...reinstall the printer driver either from the disk you got with it, or go to the manufacturers web site and download it.
