i have been done!!!

hi all sadly, i checked my email to find that my email address for my ebay account had been changed (they e mail you when this happens) i then looked further down my emails to find that my account had a TKO email saying my account has been suspended for putting up fraudulant items!

i had another email from ebay saying they know about it and that i am a victim of id theft. the person was trying to sell dell computers and palm tops from my name :mad:

anyway i think i have it sorted now but what shall i do with my email address? will it be ok? also my personal things are on there ie address to my house!

help please!

    TKO notice emails, etc usually come from scammers, etc

    sounds like you've clicked on a link you shouldn't have done somewhere

    do you mean your ebay account is hijacked?, or did they get your ISP login details?,
    they are two different things!

    either way, you need to change your user/pass immediatley, then your emails will be safe
    money saving my @rse.
    I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

    If you clicked on any of the links within any of these emails and followed the instructions you need to change ALL login details for your ebay account immediately. They are almost certainly all scam mails, it is a new practice of sending out three or four emails with updating information on them because too many people are wise to the scams now, you ignore the first one as a scam the next comes a couple of hours or maybe a day later advising you of some bogus transactions etc then the next further builds on your fears etc the longer you leave it to change the account details the less likely you are to have the ability to do so. DO IT KNOW it could cost you dearly!
