Selling elsewhere as well as Ebay

I've noticed a few people on Ebay advertising stuff for sale but saying it can be withdrawn at any time as it is also advertised elsewhere.
I read up on the policy on Ebay about this and it seems you cannot cancel an eBay listing with less than 12 hours to go, especially if has bids.
I was thinking about advertsing the stuff I've already put up on Amazon but am now not so sure.
Am I right in thinking it could be more problematic to advertise on eBay and elsewhere at the same time?

Stick to one place at a time. That would be the safest way.0

We sell stuff on e-bay and locally all the time.We are getting rid of an 18 month old 3 piece suite soon and thats going in local paper and put on e-bay at the same time.If we are selling things in 2 places at once and get a call asking if item is still available we just check e-bay...if its got no bids then we pull it and sell it locally. We have had a couple of things with no bids and less than 12 hours to go when we have pulled them due to selling locally with no problems at all.But I think (I might be wrong) that e-bay keep a check on how many items you end early and if you do it regularly you get a warning. We have only done it a couple of times in 3 years.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
