Hi, I need an account to invest in. I am due to be paid £31,000 for voluntary redundancy and around £15,000 I am using to refurbish my house and pay off some small debts.
The rest I want to invest and leave alone entirely.:o But I would like some access to it via cashcard and to get statements sent to me or available online.:T

I think you mean a savings account. Investment=returns vary, you may lose some of the money, you shouldn't need to touch it for at least 5 years.

If you do want a savings account you might want to think about an ISA for the first £3600, and then put the rest in a normal savings account.
