  • Well, I went for it. 9am at the door of Lidl's (well, 8.45am actually) - already 15 people there, fortunately going for the satellite stuff (sure half of them are going for it because they think it does freeview or sky even though it says neither) - picked myslef up an anthracite one (black to you and me!). Chuffed at the price, let's see how long it lasts.
  • Went passed a Lidl this morning and almost everyone coming out had a tele.
If you want one - hurry!
  • Crayon,I bought one over 18 months ago still fine and had a 3 year guarantee anyway, if it's the same model it has virtual dolby sound which is quite effective if you are sitting at some point between the speakers.

    I think this is a mis-price............

as most here think a TV costs 49p, with a free DVD recorder thrown in :D:D
  • Got to lidl 8.40 this morning. queue of about 30 people in front of me. doors opended at 9. and people just pushed past those with the trolleys..so i thought what the hell n followed suite. Grabed a silver one after filling in one of those nice tv license forms :)

By the time i was checked out they had all gone. But the majority of people in front of me went for the sat stuff!
  • Most of them went for the 80cm dish it seems too, probably after reading forums like these!

69 quid? Not bad....but nothin' beats 49p.:D There was something on the news about it before, with one woman with Homebase apology in hand, yet she still wanted her 49p telly. Straight face and all.....now there's a money saving expert.:D
  • I went to five different stores for this TV and luckily got it at the last store I visited.

Wow! didn't know the scramble for TV's was that bad.
Anyway thanks for the post OP!!

Isn'nt it typical was watching tv in bed last night and there was a loud bang and then the picture went all wobbly and wavy. Still like it this morning!! Whats the chance of getting one of these today???? Probably not good i bet.
  • I am really surprised about the reports of queues for this. My local S'bury has been selling a £70 TV for months - since early this year (Lodos branded). May still be there now - Sale, Cheshire.
