Ber Verwaayen leaving BT

I know there's quite a few people on here that have e-mailed Ben over the past months to get issues resolved and he's been very helpful. Bad news is that we got an e-mail at work (Openreach) today announcing that Ben is leaving on 1st June.

Shame, one of the better people in BT.

Wonder what lucky firm is going to have him now?

Ian Livingston (currently the boss of BT's retail unit) will take over.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Although to be fair, all that happens is that it gets past right down the line to an advisor to deal with. Although Ben does reply to the emails himself in the first instance.
If saved £2710 and only spent the interest (Based on a return of 5%), you would have enough money to pay your TV Licence every year. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.

Or a PA replies on his behalf (not saying he does not personally reply, but very easy for PAs to have access to email accounts and reply on behalf of their boss).
