in Credit cards
Morning all,
I have a quick question.
I have two credit cards. One from MINT which has £0 on it but has 0% on balance transfers until 1st November and I have one from Egg which has £1437.94 at 7.9%.
Would I be better off leaving the balance where it currently is at 7.9% or transfering it to MINT's 0% card until 1st November with a balance transfer charge of £35?
Basically could someone work out if i'll be charged more than £35 in interest on the Egg card by 1st November.
Also, I plan on paying this balance of by December, if not earlier.
Thanks

By my calculations your monthly interest is £10.77. So, 7 month's interest is roughly £75.39.
If you pay the £35, you'll save £40.39....
Thanks for the quick reply. So I'm better of sticking it on the MINT 0%!

Yep, but only if the £35 is all you have to pay. Some 0% on BTs ask for a % of the balance as payment too...
The £35 is the % of the balance MINT will charge.EMERGENCY FUND CHALLENGE - £2,292.05 / £6000
