I applied for and have been accepted for the A&L 6.25% ISA last week, but just today I have seen First Direct are offering a 7% regular saver ISA which would be better for me, what can I do, is it ok to not use the A&L one and set a newe one up with First Direct. I also applied for the A&L ISA through Pigsback so assume that if I don't use it I won't get my points? Could I use the A&L one just to transfer in my existing ISA?

As long as you have not put any money into the A&L, yes, yes, probably not and yes.;)0

Sorry one other question, I've also opened the First Direct regular saver at 8%, previously have used Halifax 7% one. The Halifax one starts again on 1st May would you recommend closing it and opening a new one if I find I have extra money or fund the min £25 per month to keep it open.0

A&L required me to set up a DD for payments into the account, but it said they wouldn't take any money via the DD, payments in were to be set up by me once account was opened. So can choose not to put money in. Would transferring old ISA quailify for Piggy Pionts do you think?0 -
Sorry me again, I've filled in my ISA Transfer form to transfer across the small sum that I have, do I need to tell A&L that I won't be adding any funds in this tax year?0
