well I've been a busy beaver today! have just spent most of the afternoon washing, ironing & taking photo's of stuff to put on ebay.. managed to fill an Ikea bag so that's my evening sorted! have about 10 items finishing tonight as well, nothing of any real value, but it all adds up!
also phoned the letting agents and advised them i need to get into my house - i still have things in the attic and have been meaning to clear it for the last 2 years but just never got around to it. whilst I am there - on friday pm - i will speak to the tenant about me dealing with him directly - if he's not there then I will leave him a note.. but one way or another I will get it sorted.
thank you all for your support, it really does make a difference you know - I have lurked around for a while and never posted but will in the future as I now know how motivational it can be.0 -

still feeling positive - lets hope tommorrow is a good day...
gonna lurk around for a bit to try and get some more tips, night everyone

well I actually slept last night! and I've woken up with even more determination than yesterday (didn't think that was possible) but I'm a stubborn get and if there's something in my head then I usually go for it full pelt. dh is home this morning so going to use that time wisely and let him look after baby until he goes to work so I can get as many things listed on e bay as I can. Paypal also cleared today, £54, so can now put petrol in the car, do an essentials food shop and replace the fivcer I took out of DS sponsership money yesterday - funny how yesterday that was the trigger for me to finally start posting on this forum and today it doesn't seem important at all.
i'm hoping that by keeping this diary when I have a bad day - and they are pretty dark - i will be able to read back on here and see that I can actually get through it, and will hopefully get a little push in the right direction from you lot!
time to send ds off to school - he's not my friend this morning cos I wouldn't let him stay up to watch the footie last night, but I'm sure he'll get over it!0 -
Hope you have a productive day - sounds like a good plan.Making my money go further with MSE :j

Good luck today. One thing I've learnt is that there is only one way of making money and that is 'hard graft'. You seem to have the determination. Good Luck.

Do you mind me asking if you have any CCJ's on any of these debts. I was in a very similar position as you and have had 4 of my Credit Cards worth 28k made unenforceable by the court. Very painless experience. Let me know if you want to know anymore.

Hi Stebiz
no haven't had any ccj's - think my lbm came just in time! all the cards have been paid every month (sometimes a bit late) but have always managed to pay the minimum. have checked my credit file and the only one that is showing as late payment is the Mint - for the last 4 months  . so i'm hoping with a bit of hard work (i.e paying more than the minimum and on time )for the next 6 months or so will help my credit rating and hopefully allow me to apply for some 0% cards to transfer the mint & argos debts onto.
question to everybody/anybody? I have a £500 limit on my asda card current balance is £485ish and apr is 15% (a lot lower than mint/argos) if I snowball correctly then I should tackle the mint card first - but... if I clear the Asda card I will then be able to move £500 of the Mint debt onto it at a lower apr... or am I just complicating things?

Hi again,
The reason I asked about the CCJ was to see if any of these 'creditors' had taken you to court. There is a thread on here explaining how to request a copy of your Credit Agreement. If they can't find it (or it wasn't completed correctly) it is unenforceable and therefore cannot be collected. So far 4 of mine fell into that categeory and it wiped over 28k of debt in one go. I have 2 cards left and am in the middle of doing the same. Worth thinking about??
I admire the way you are talking about getting your debts down. You seem very positive and I really wish you all the best.
