Don't be gloomy! You're here and that's the best thing. And we're all in the same boat - be it a canoe or a giant cruise liner. We're all trying to do the same thing and of course there'll be up's and down's. But there's a way forward and that's ALWAYS good news.Debt - Loan: £1150 C/C: £4763 @ 0%.0

I wonder what the difference is?
maybe they should list the 'ingredients' on the side of the pumps so you know what you're getting!

Def worth trying, she did it for a normal week/same mileage as normal and was filling up later in the week. She now doesnt go to supermarket petrol stations anymore.
From what i understand the fuel is the same but it has different addatives
The vouchers are great but £30 a month in your pocket is even better!:DDebt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

Ups and downs is the name of the game - but that's better than sleepless night. You sound very sorted so I'm sure you will find ways of speeding the DFW process up and be debt free in well under 47 months.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Just wanted to say hello! Welcome to MSE!
Have a look at joining the ebay challenge (on the ebay board), the grocery challenge (on the old style board) and the make £10 a day thread here on DFW. Join up to pigsback and do daily clicks and enter comps. Have a look on the comps board and enter comps, free to do and you might get something nice. Do you use mysupermarket.com? I have found it invaluable each week and I can make sure I get the best deals.0 -
I've just been on that website that seaxwyn :T recommended and have registered with them. and have also just cancelled the £10 direct debit into the kids accounts. have only just cancelled Sky which was £17 a month so will now ahve an extra £27 next month - that's a weekly food shop!
And the sofa payments ends very soon, so that will be another £40 the month after.
have you joined www.freecycle.org? Like e-bay but you get things for free. great for kids clothes, electrical stuff and replacing things when they break-down rahter than buying new in the CCs.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
RAS is right.
£10 from savings.
£17 from SKY.
£40 from sofa payments.
£50 from the tenant if you manage the rental yourself.
That's an extra £117 a month to throw at your debts! Bring it on:TWorry is like a rocking chair - it keeps you busy but it gets you nowhere.
£2014 in 2014. £0/£2014:)0 -
mobiles £24.99 tied into contract until july, then switching to PAYG - Check with your provider. I could lower the tarriff in the last 6 months of my contract.0

OMG! £117 extra a month... that's motivated me to ring the letting agents! and in a cpl of months time the westcott debt will also be gone - that's an extra £45 a month. should hopefully 'break even' then but more often than not I've managed to bring in an extra £200 by e baying ad ironing, if I continue to do this (which I will!) then I'll hopefully knock a few more months off the debt! I'm 40 in Dec 2011 and would absolutely love to be debt free by then...0

re mobiles - i've already lowered as much as I can - this covers 2 phones so £12.50 each a month. When we go onto PAYG i don't reckon we will spend on them at all.0

Hi all. Been lurking around the forum for ages and have been absolutely overwhelmed by how helpful everyone is here. Well done skintmam for getting it all off your chest. It certainly sounds as though people have given you plenty of excellent advice and you seem to have been making all the changes you can to your outgoings. I too have borrowed from the children's money boxes - and have always paid it back. Don't beat yourself up about it hon.
Chin up over the next 47 months - you know you can do it! :T0
