I no I have spoke about this before but that was more about what to do in Paignton.

I now could do with some idea’s about any nice sights on the drive down from Wakefield West Yorkshire to Paignton Devon

We are driving down early morning to beat the traffic but I would like to be able to stop of at some places (nice sights) or anything interesting.

Me and two of my mates are driving whilst the rest are going on the train so we want to be able to do something on that long drive down

Any ideas from you guys and girls will be appreciated.

Regards

Sorry please move to days out board sorry

Depending on which way you are travelling, i presume mostly on the M5 but i was rubbish at geography. I can advise from Bristol, Junction 17, there is a massive asda mega mega store that would be cheaper for lunch/break than a service station and great for finding a few cheap baragins.
Further on the M5, the junction turn off for Glastonbury, there is a clarkd shopping outlet village which sell things up to 70% cheaper than the high street, from next clothes shop to cadburys chocolate shop.
While at paignton, if you take a trip to Newton Abbott for the day and go to a place called Trago Mills, you may find some bargains here, there is also plaenty to do and look round, few rides, couple of peacocks roaming around, little local shops. Nice day out. Have family down there and used to live in Plymouth for years. Am driving down myself 2moro.
    Have a great time

Trago Mills is a very over rated thing in the west country!
Enjoy Paignton though. You could venture to Galmpton village (about 5 miles from Paigton) and pass to Greenaway Mansion which is where Agatha Christie lived. Very beautiful. Then near there is a boat you can get across a little river (sorry can't remember the name, but a name pulls the boat along).

Brixham is also amazing and one the the highlight of that part of the country. The artist from there are great! I think they still have a half day closing which is so lovely!!!!
    Enjoy it all, it's lovely!!!!!
