Linslade, Leighton Buzzard

Hi, Does anyone have any feedback on what this area is like ? Is it a desirable area to live. My sister has seen a 2 bedroom terraced for 160k, in the current climate where a potential 20% price fall is anticipated what sort of offer should she think about.

Thanks in advance.

I would not call it desirable but it is a good area to live.

There are a lot of young couples/families, and there are very good transport links - Linslade is the location for Leighton Buzzard train station with a 45 min journey to euston.

It is really the first area on the commuter train out of Euston to be affordable.

Not too far from Milton Keynes either, which is nearest major shopping area, and nights out very good in MK.

Linslade seems to be very reasonably priced for the region, and has always been cheaper than surrounding areas. I come from around there and lots of friends moved up there when we left home

    Just seen this...

We live in linslade and you can hear the trains from ANY part of it ! , but it does have two parks , a leisure centre , as mentioned , the train station and is calmer and nicer to walk around in than Leighton Buzzard itself

Its one of the better parts in town, only the heath road and plantation are seen as better, but your looking at big packets of cash for those areas. The locals in linslade are a little "hove actually" if you see what i mean.

You have to remember the whole town is very quiet compared to most other places.
  • Yes Linslade is a nice place to live.

For a 2 bed at £160K, I am guessing it's in the Bideford Green area otherwise houses tend to be a bit more expensive than that in the touwn. If it's in the new road / old road / wing road area, there are parking space issues even in front of your own house / flat. Stoke road / Heath Road (Leighton) are the really nice places but houses round there are usually £250+, although there was a 2 bed semi going for just under £200K in heath road.
