Hi been looking at holdays mainly to Florida and noticed that several of the companies are part of the Travel Trust Association. Anyone heard of them and what they do? Are they a bit like ABTA

The travel Trust is ok, no problems using a company registered with them. Click onto the website at www.traveltrust.co.uk and you will find all you need to know.0

I worked for a TTA travel agency and they're fairly strict with agencies who are signed with them. For example, we had to have references and send copies of our travel qualifications to them. You will also have the benefit of the individual tour operators ABTA/ATOL cover (eg Thomson, Airtours,Kuoni... whatever) but you will be covered by the TTA before your money has even reached the operator - eg if you book on a monday and travel agent was to go bust on tuesday - unlikely but it HAS happened before.
TTA travel agents are usually independents or smallish local chains, who will offer holidays from a large selection of operators, rather than favouring their parent company's products, and often have very experienced and knowledgeable staff.0 -
Has anyone got free or local number for TTA,Because they are using 0870 numbes Thanks0

An agent who is a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA) are safe to use. They operate a trust fund that all clients' monies are paid into so your money is safe should anything happen to an operator or agent that you book with.
I work for a tour operator and we deal with TTA with no problems.:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j
