Changed to Scotish power as was shown as cheapest
sent my first meter reading .payments going up from £75.00 p/m to £117.00p/m
when asked why, told that monthly payments are based on present usage and not averaged over the year,so I will have to wait to the summer to review bill,,so much for saving money..

Tell them, put the payments to ones you are happy with, or you'll go elsewhere.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... I'm not sure how things go when you change supplier, (as I've only just changed myself AND moved onto monthly DD)
But I would suspect that maybe they need to initally base on useage until they have a few (enough) bills to be able to work out an average that will work out based on your yearly usage?
I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.:cool:0 -
I've changed many times since the market was opened up, I told them how much I wanted my DDs to be and they accepted that.
