I bought a pair of shoes last monday in clarks and have worn them about 8 times and the leather at the back has nearly worn throug already. Should i take them back?? Or do i just put it down to wear and tear?

I'd definitely say they fail the SAD FART test ;-)

For returns under Sale of Goods Act, this could be a bank or credit card ststement I believe.

I once took some shoes back because they went all discoloured after a foam party. Obviously I didn't tell them about the foam party.

I took some boots back to Clarks because they came unstitched after a few weeks. I didn't have a proof of purchase to hand but they offered to get them repaired which was fine for me as they fitted well and they didn't have any more to replace with. Take them back and you should get a result
