Which accounts allow Direct Debit?

My mum has a Halifax Websaver, ISA and an old Liquid Gold account (which only has coppers in it). I want to transfer her ISA to A&L but they ask for a linked current account, she doesn't have a current account but I'm wondering if anyone knows if the Liquid Gold account could be set up for Direct Debit, thanks.

Can be set up for a SO .... but I'm fairly fairly certain not for DD? Websaver - can be set up for DD, but only internally to Halifax accounts.
Have a look at the Halifax High Interest current account? Set one up for my Mum .... as it pays 6.17% up to £2500 .... so betters a lot of savings accounts up to the £2.5k level. You do have to fund it with £1k monthly. But you can achieve that by SO a £1k from the Websaver to the current .... then SO it back next day. Equally I kicked her Liquid Gold into touch and transferred all her inputs (pensions / War Stock dividends) to the current account.
Sorry ... not much help on the ISA!If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
