BUPA - Claim Form Fee - Stitch Up

Not sure if this is the right board or not.
Anyway, wife recently had hernia op, on NHS, then had a follow-up consultation at BUPA with same guy who did the Operation. Guy charged £75 for the Consultation and then a further £30 for a claim form (even though the form was given to him already filled in, all he did was sign it). BUPA are saying that they don't pay the claim form fee, which is fair enough, so I feel that we have been stitched up by a consultant who is basically trying to get an extra £30 for pretty much nothing.  BUPA have said it is unusual to get a claim form fee if you have taken the pre-filled form in.
Does anyone have any experience of this type of scenario, and if so did you get a £30 fee to pay ?

Not come across it before. We have family cover via hubbys work but have to pay the 1st £100. Hubby has had 2 ops on BUPA and I've had one and need an annual MRI and consultation. All I've ever done is ring up and get authorisaton no from BUPA telling them what i'm having done, where and what date, taken that no into hospital and told it to the staff. I then get an invoice sent to me which I then send off to BUPA, who either re-imburse the hospital or send me a cheque minus the £100.0
