Scottish Power - capped price til 2011??

I've been with SP for some time, moving from npower was the best thing I did! Obviously I'm never going to get the same saving by switching again, but I've just had a letter from Scottish Power inviting me to stay on a capped tariff until February 2011.
Any suggestions on whether I should take my chances please? Do I go back to a standard tariff and hope prices don't continue to escalate or pay a bit more and *know things are going to get out of hand.
*even though I know full well they will increase my monthly payment at some point in the next three years, even tho I'm not using any more electric

It is like asking who will win the 3:30 race at Epsom - a gamble.
In 2005 there was huge debate in MSE on the BG fixed to 2010 tariff and opinions were sharply divided on the merits of the offer.
There have been frequent other threads asking exactly the same question as you(about other fixed/capped offers)
It is fair to say that nearly all offers have turned out well for those who took them up; which is to be expected in an era when prices have continually increased.
Will they do so in the future? Ask OPEC and PM Putin of Russia!!
It is simply a gamble! - me? I would take the gamble; but I didn't get the result of the 3:30 at Epsom correct!0
