Land of Leather Delivery Time

I bought a sofa from land of leather on 28th Dec 2007 and was given a delivery time of 12 weeks, I paid a deposit there and then with the balance when the goods at their warehouse.
After 12 weeks my wife contacted them to see where the sofa was she was told it was in the country waiting to go through customs and should be with us by the end of the following week. We got a message on our phone on Thurs 3rd Apr to contact LOL about our sofa, my wife rang them and was told that there is a leather shortage and our suite wont be delivered until mid May, why couldnt we be told that months ago and why were we told that the suite was in the country when it hasnt even been built?
Can anyone help? does anyone have any advice? can we be discounted for this, they are going to be 2 months over their approx delivery time and I dont think this is acceptable, having read about sleep depot are LOL in financial trouble? and will I lose the deposit.

I'm in tthe same boat going to try open thread to help..

Paid £250 in January suite due to be delivered April 30th...

Now my local shop is cleared out and can't get answer on phone not sure if they gone bust.. i'm so disappointed, paid deposit through barclay card but it over 3 months ago so we may have to sue, be lucky to get back 10p in the pound..

So looks like we've been screwed..

I'm looking into things now and will get back to you..
