Tesco are putting names on vouchers for holidays, MFI and Goldsmith jewellers, BUT vouchers for other "S" code items (they mentioned S3010 - days out) can be used at MFI and they won't have names on them.

I have checked with Tesco and you will no longer be able to use any 'S' tokens towards the high value deals (MFI, holidays etc). You will only be able to use deals tokens with a name on for these deals.

I did ask what would happen if you already had tokens issued without a name and they said they will still accept them as long as they were issued before August.

I note it still says in their website FAQs:

Can I give a Clubcard Deal as a gift?
Yes. The Clubcard holder must still complete the Great Deals Order Form with their own details and post it to Tesco Freetime. When you receive your Tokens you can pass this on to whoever you wish.

It will be a bit tough on people who have been collecting points and getting relatives to do the same to put all of them towards a deal to find they can no longer do this for some of the deals, especially as it is the high value deals affected which people are more likely to save up for for a long time.

I have today received S3010 tokens from Tesco, valid to 30/4/06, so no question that they were issued after August!
    The accompanying leaflet states:

"We hope you enjoy the clubcard deal you have chosen. However, if you would prefer to use your Clubcard Deal Token(s) for an alternative Deal, these tokens can be used as full or part payment for any Deal which does not have the 'Buy in Full' logo next to it in the brochure, but cannot be used for Avis car rental or MFI orders unless the total cost of your order comes to over £250."

That is the first paragraph in the leaflet. It seems very clear to me that this means they can be used in MFI or for hotels or holidays.

The only catch maybe that MFI may only take a certain number of tokens and these were all issued as £5 tokens.
