**************************

I have been away over the weekend and my husband told me they had rang. When I entered the competition I was hoping to get it for my husband and myself. Jeff has cancer and it is terminal. My mother died last week through cancer and my weekend away had been pre arranged for about a year. My husband's condition is really deteriorating. The pain relief the Hospice are helping him with is not alleviating the pain and his mobility is getting seriously impaired. He has malignant melanoma and it's sad to see him in so much pain.

He couldn't tolerate the journey down there now....believe me, when I entered I really thought he would not have deteriorated so quickly. I really couldn't leave him and take the prize just for myself and bring someone else.

I am so upset as it is a fantastic prize and my first thought was so joyful....but I left him this weekend and he hasn't coped well in just those two days (yes, I feel awfully guilty).

I didn't post this other than for you to know someone from MSE won this....it is such a great prize. I have emailed them and hopefully they will re-allocate the prize and give someone else a chance.

Also thanks to Taloolah for posting this competition.

Ruth

Rharni, thanks for sharing this with us. Letting us know an MSE'er was drawn for this prize was a lovely thought.

I'm sorry to hear about your husbands condition, sending my thoughts to you & your family at this time. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I'm here for you & if you need to chat you can PM me if you want to talk or let off some steam etc. Throw away that guilt you felt, as realistically you probably needed that 2 day break so you could come back & continue shouldering the burden of your situation - I know it is easier said than done though. Your family will be in my prayers, bless you.
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
