Will you wear just your wedding ring when married?

I intend to wear both my engagement ring and my wedding ring once I'm married. We picked an engagement ring that was not only beautiful, but practical as well, so I can wear it all the time. We're going to get 18 carat white gold wedding rings so they match each other and the engagement ring.

We've just been looking at wedding rings too as we are getting married next year. I bought my wife to be a shaped engagement ring and we decided that we were either going to have to get one made to fit round it or just make do with a straight one that looked a bit out of place.

Anyway we popped into a jewellery workshop in York at the weekend just as we were passing, they were great, they borrowed the engagement ring for the day and made us a wax cast of what the shaped wedding ring would look like. We went back the next day to try it and it looks fantastic....so I asked them to price it up in 18ct White Gold and it was really reasonable, a lot less than I was expecting and half the price we had seen similar custom rings for at a wedding fayre.

Well the price seemed reasonable until SWMBO and the lady in the shop started discussing what they could do in terms of eternity rings as well...

When i was married i never wore my wedding ring, thats just because i got it caught one day at work and it nearly ripped my finger off.

I don't wear either of mine all the time - pretty much only at work - but when I do put them on it's always together.

I suppose I could wear them separately, but I wear them so little I just stick them on together.

OH wears his most of the time, despite it's weight!

Are you saying the OH is a fat b'stard or the ring is one huge chunk of gold?

I think I'll only be wearing my wedding ring when we get married. I've got small hands and there won't be enough room to wear them both comfortably. Might wear them both when we go out or on special occasions though.

I wear both of mine, and not just because I can't actually get my engagement ring off (i'm 3 stone heavier than when we got engaged)

I don't wear my wedding ring and just wear my engagement ring when I am wearing gold. I wear a lot of silver and don't like to mix so I just wear whatever suits my outfit best.

i wear only my wedding ring (five years this august). i wore the engagement ring with it at first but as my weight has increased the engagement ring has had to come off its just too tight.

i am hoping to lose some weight and the first thing i will do is start wearing my engagement ring again.

I wear both my rings. I brought my engagement ring and had my weedding ring made so that it fits into my engagement ring.
