Will you wear just your wedding ring when married?

I am looking for my wedding ring and the one i thought was perfect may need some altering..because i want it to match my engagement ring!..i then looked at friends and realised lots of them don't even wear their other ring and made me think then i could get any wedding band..i.e titanuium or similar as would rub if wore both as engagement white gold BUT then figured what a waste of a ring and how nice it is i am back to square one lol..
So what will you do? Thanks

I love my engagement ring and will (hopefully) wear it for the rest of my life with pride along with my wedding band!

I will never take my engagement ring off and plan the same for the wedding ring. We found a palladium ring that was sooo much cheaper than platinum, but was necessary as my engagement ring is platinum.
I wouldn't waste my engagement ring:)

I wear both too as they both have significance to me but then mine are both bands (engagement is more like an eternity ring) so they lie quite flat on my finger
  • I chose not to have an engagement ring so don't have the same dilemma but I do think wedding bands look nice on their own. Mine is a 3mm yellow gold court style which I plan never to take off. I wear my mums narrow rose gold wedding ring with it and they actually compliment each other well. Together they look like a single, unique, two-colour gold ring - an added bonus :D. Of course it's a matter of personal choice.

  • My OH will not be able to wear her engagement ring at work (A&E nurse.. no diamonds allowed) so she's having trouble finding a wedding ring that will look ok with and without the engagement ring..

Think she's settling on a 3.5mm white gold band.. i've got myself a rather nice 5mm Brushed palladium band

If you can, you should wear your engagement ring, wedding band and eternity ring at all times (no other rings on other fingers though, IHO its tacky to have too many).

You should be proud to wear them, its a token of you love for each other and your lifetime commitment.

funny just went shopping for wedding bands on sat! H2B bought me a gorgeous 18carat gold engagment ring, so need to get 18 carat again for the wedding band so the engagement ring doesn't wear away - I plan to wear both all the time! for a 3 mm band it's looking at about £240 pounds...which seems loads but apparently the price of gold has been rising recently....bad timing then eh? It that really expensive? Not found much else too much cheaper in our nearest town. I do have a fabby 10% discount for them tho from a wedding fayre I was at......

I will be wearing my engagement ring on the other hand after we get married as its slightly too big for my left hand. We bought it on holiday and OH was adamant it was no way an engagement ring then he surprised me on the last night by asking me to marry him.

Our wedding rings are going to be wide, matching titanium bands and there just won't be room on my finger for anything else and I also don't want my engagement ring worn away as its 18k white gold.
