I find capital 1 is the best card in my wallet::T
1% cash back, text alerts to warn when I approach my credit limit and 7 days before payment is due so that I can check I have enough in my Current Account.

Nope not for me it isn't , I find my Egg Money card is the best card in my wallet. Infact i,m closing my Cap1 card down so it wont even be in my wallet much longer.....0

I'm confused why the egg money card would be better. Egg give a lower number off interest free days (50 instead of 54), they put a cap on the cashback you can earn and they are (currently) giving our miserly limits.
Now - if you aren't using it like a credit card - e.g. preloading - then clearly Money is the best card ...
Otherwise - surely - under the credit card criteria for a cashback card - Cap1 is the better offering?0 -

It depends when you applied.
I applied last July and got 56 days.
My husband applied last December and got about 45 with some "world" card or other. There are apparently some additional benefits but nothing we'd use.0 -

My statement date is the 13th of the month with payment taken out on the 8th of the following month.
But if you time it well you can maxmimum interest free days such as if I use it as follows :
1) Buy something on the 14th April 08 (my April statement has already been produced the daye before).
2) That item is a transaction on the next statement - 13th May 08.
3) Payment taken on due date - 8th June 08.
I have therefore had 2 months interest free credit Bought item on 14th April 08 but not paid until 8th June 08.
It's all to do with the timing.
If you have several credit cards with different statement dates you can delay paying for pretty much everything for nearly two months!Best Regards,
