In other news we've applied and been accepted for an Asda credit card which we're going to use as our petrol card, filling up and putting the money away to pay off each month. You get 2p off a litre and our local ASDA is usually the cheapest around. Also get 0% purchases for 90 days and also a 9 month 0% BT if we need it. Credit limit is £2000  so will be perfect for BT'ing the tv come October if we haven't paid it off.
Just a word of warning. My son tried to BT a TV to his 0% CC but they wouldn't let him. Apparently you can't pay off a credit agreement with a credit card (?) He had to find the cash
