When did you apply? Seems a waste of a potential volunteer there!
Hi I-A,
I applied two years ago. I run my own business so couldn't commit to do both. Though I've just looked on their website and they need some trustees (I'm already a trustee elsewhere) so I might see if they'll take me for that to keep my hand in. Will take me a while to get round to though, I'm up to my eyes in work at the moment!
Thanks again for keeping me posted! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

good luck with the CAB, I was an advisor specialising in debt and welfare benefits for 11 years with my local CAB. IT gave me the experience and confidence to move on to my present extremely good (and reasonably well paid) position.
I know that when i was offered the job i was told that they were well aware of the level of training and commitment it took to be a CAB advisor and this on my application had been one of the reasons that i got the interview.
I am sure you will enjoy it0
