yes its the caffeine one .... quite expensive in stores

Went into Superdrug today and the Garnier roller ball for eyes is on offer - half price at 4.99, As were the Rimmel 60 second nail polishes....oops.;)

Ooh forgot to say when I was recommending stuff earlier that Superdrug whitewillow facial wipes are excellent (they're on offer as well 99p).

And Miss Sporty mascara. Which was sadly not on offer but is only £2.99.

Bought some eyeslipsface makeup this week and was blown away by how good it is for the price. The brushes, blotting paper and lipgloss are particularly good. £1.50 each!

Am getting on well with the Liz Earle C & P, so have invested in some Skin Repair Light today.....its only about £15, which impressed me as that is pretty reasonable for something sold in department stores.

Hi all - I am considering buying Boots Expert Sensitive items whilst there is an offer on - any recommendations/warnings/notes on this range?
I use (and like) the Boots Expert unfragranced deodorant (the solid one in stick form)- as it doesn't clash with any perfume I'm wearing.

Thanks for the post Stompingogre :D

I have found something really nice though. It is from Tesco and it is called Helping Hands in their make up range. It is a little pricey at £6 but it is on 3 for 2 quite frequently. It is like a non sticky serum and makes your hands feel soft and supple. I have really really dry, cracked hands and apply hand cream up to 4 times a day and this just finishes them off nicely. It says it can be used on any other problem areas too.

Tidmans Bathing Salts ... I have been using Tidmans for a number of years after being recommended to me by a SA in Holland & Barrett. Not sure where else you can buy this salt from but it is worth every penny if you have regular pain.
Their website also shows Sainburys as one of the stockists:

Just to say that I got the eye shadow palette Angel81 recommended with 88 colours and it's wonderful!:T :T :T The colours are highly pigmented and some are very strong, but they're easy to apply for either a subtle or striking look. I don't know if I'd ever wear the reds, but other than that there's a good mix of pastel and primary colours in light and dark shades. I used them yesterday and my eye make up looked as good at the end of the day as it did when first applied. The socket line brush with being contoured does a much better job than an ordinary eye shadow brush too.

Boots 17 extended wear make-up, also recommended by Angel81 is easily as good as Revlon's Colorstay, I bought two shades in 'Natural' and 'Biscuit' and these seem to blend to the colour I need. I don't know if it is due to the lighting in Boots but I couldn't see any shades at the pinky end of the spectrum.

Carmex Lip Balm is indeed also excellent as a lip plumper prior to lipstick, I was quite surprised at the tingling as I haven't used it before - but it's not unpleasant.

For my own recommendations, I love Smith's Rosebud Salve, it smells wonderful, is a good lip salve and can be used anywhere where skin is dry. It's easily absorbed without being sticky.

For dry hands I find good old Atrixo is at least as good if not better than more expensive brands.

Thanks Geri. But the other poster (Gilly) seemed to imply that she was using just one product as both a cleanser and moisturiser...or have I misunderstood?

They are separate products, but after using the cold cream you may not need to moisturise as it leaves your skin really soft.

I tend to use the cold cream at night to remove my make up, and in the morning I use aqueous cream and Ponds moisturiser.

Thanks to everyone posting on here.
Thankfully I've got over my touche eclat fixation after seeing it two weeks running on How To Look Good naked, and have followed a recommendation on here and bought Collection 2000 version instead :T
Also, got some Barbara Daly moisturising foundation, as recommended, as I find that my Avon Matt Mousse Foundation is starting to make my skin a little dry.
Both cost between £2-3 off ebay, so no great loss if I dont get on with them.
Has anyone tried the Technic make-up products on sale in Bodycare shops ??? Noticed them today, really low price (ie £1.49 would be expensive) but only shelled out on eyelash curlers for 89p. My £5 plastic ones from Avon broke quite quickly, these are metal, but at that price, I'm sure they can give my old ones a run for their money.

Just had a thought about Aloe Vera.
If anyone is out to Fuerteventura this summer, they have tons of Aloe Vera products out there. Last year I bought a tub of cream for about 2.99 euros I think, resisted the sales pitch to buy more expensive ones, but I was really impressed. I used it all over, including face, and as soon as you put it on, you could feel your skin tightening. Cyclax do one for 99p but its creamier, not as firming on the skin.
Unfortunately, I cant afford to go to Fuerteventura this year (or anywhere much), so no more for me!!!
(or if you know someone who is going, get them to bring some back)

I'm really glad you're getting on well with some of my recommendations! I'd been wanting to buy the eyeshadow palette for over a year when an american friend recommended it to me. At the time it was only available on ebay from Hong Kong and although the buy it now price was cheap the postage costs were high, the delivery time was a few weeks and people were complaining that they arrived broken. I was delighted when I found crown brush had started selling them!

As for the foundation, natural has yellow undertones and biscuit has pink tones so you chose well! I usually find that a combination of the two will suit most people, just adding a little bit more of one colour than the other to get the perfect match.
