New Tom Tom user needs help

I purchased the TT720 two weeks ago and I am having a few problems customising it to my taste, This is my first sat nav and I bought it because I am going abroad twice this year and wanted EU maps and the longer battery life. I may also connect my iPod and phone to it. I used a friends Mio sat nav in France and found it quite useful. I especially liked the voice warning for speeding and the many points of interest was terrific and very useful for shopping etc.

I haven't used the TT much yet as I have not gone anywhere new recently but I have played around with it and tried to change a few things to customise it for me and am having some problems.

1. I set the max speed warning to 77MPH and tried to set up a voice warning for that but it seems I can only have sounds.

2 If I exceed the legal speed limit for the road, TT makes three little pulsing sounds. Can this be changed to a voice warning or something noisier than is.

3. A 'Safe driving' screen appears from time to time and I have to press Continue before proceeding - can this be switched off.
This prob is now sorted, I found the screen to switch this warning off.

4. The TT POI are very limited. I was going to a christening recently and the church was not listed. According to TT the nearest place of worship is supposedly St Pauls cathedral at 9.4 miles. I passed quite a few churches on my route and none of them were listed. Another example is the nearest shops are three car parts shops followed by Harrods (10 miles). Where can I buy or download better POI's.

I hope there is someone out there who is willing to help me to get the most from my TT.

Thanks. I visited the site and looked around and they seem to have what I'm looking for on POI's. I have registered and after I back up all my TT files on my laptop I will then try downloading them. I hope I don't !!!! up the dowload!

I'm hoping I get replies on the other niggles from other users. If not, I may post in the other forum if I am successful in downloading the POI's.

    I have a 720 the POI's are a waste of time.
Also the battery life is limited to about 2.5 hours a little better if you use power saving mode.

I may yet get around to using power saver mode but at present I have all lights and bells flashing.

I am waiting to get a new SD card to do a full back up of the installed files before I start installing the POI's from PocketGPS. I don't want to delete or mess up any preinstalled stuff until I feel more confident in what I'm doing.
