hi
my policy ran out with norwich union on the 3rd of april 08.
they wanted 1150 insurance(i am 20 this is my 3rd yr driving)
i checked confused.com and norwiich union simple came to £490 with my 2 parents as named drivers.
i have just checked my online bank, and norwich union have taken a monthly payment for my car insurance of £94.
i only wanted a years insuarance with them.
what can i do now? their phone line is closed now, and i am worried.
i paid the £490 with simple straight away with my debit card.
why have norwich union taken another payment from me, when i didnt re-new my insurance with them?
please help.
what can i do?

You policy would have been a auto renew- i.e. they assume that you are happy with the quote provided unless you contact them and you have already given them permission to debit the card when you took out the original policy.
Your one bit of hope could be that you have two NU policies going, so they should be alot more flexible.
Next time, actually read the paperwork that comes with the renewal instead of just the price!0
