Data CDs -adding data

Can you add additional data to a data CD ??
I created a photo CD using Roxio Creator Classic.
I tried adding another photo later.
After burning the CD, only the single photo I added later is visible, the other photo folder I burnt earlier has disappeared.
Is this something to do with creating a multisession disc ??
When I dragged the single photo to the CD destination, I noticed the original folder also appeared, thought I made mistake, that it was going to burn the original folder again, deleted it, leaving only the extra photo.

The missing folder is still there. I recall you can read it in a burner (rather than a reader only) device. In Roxio there might be a way to view other sessions. The disc/folder has not been over written as mentioned above.
I dont bother with multisession discs as they are cheap, and also there is a trade off in storage capacity, being you "lose" about 10Mb per write session (due to overheads). I save up 700Mb worth of data then write to disc.0 -

That statement doesn't make any sense.
They are the same discs, it's the way you use it that makes a disc multisession.

As discs are cheap - only pennies each, they don't bother with the hassle of multi-session.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
