problem with indesit washing machine not very old

ive got a indesit washing machine bought about 18 months ago from john lewis, luckily its got a 2 year guarantee.

already had one call out last year cant remember the problem now, but i now have another problem with it. when you select a basic 40 wash programme but want to select quick wash, most of the time it flashes, meaning this option isnt available. but if you look in the user guide the quick wash option should be available on that program. sometimes the light comes on and quick wash will work.

so i think the programmer has gone wrong and the washing machine is probably thinking its on a different program to what the dial says.

has anyone come across this before? should i get them to come out again, im worried its not actually running the program it should and could mess my clothes up! altho hasnt so far..

Do you have other options selected at all?

Often when you select an option it means that others, such as a quick wash, will not be available.

Re-read your book & if you're sure you are doing things properly then call them out again - that's what your guarantee is for!!;)

I hate to tell you this, but the exact same thing happened to us about 6 months ago......we had a brand new washer and about 9 months after getting it the computer part of the control panel needed replacing....about another 9 months after that the same thing happened but the machine wouldnt spin either.....rang Indesit and they were less than helpful....said they would send an engineer out but we would have to pay for the visit and the labour/parts etc - even though we still were under guarantee - turned out that by the time we paid for the call out etc it was cheaper to buy a new washer!!!!!!!!!!! As I couldnt be without a washer, this is what I did and then I took the Indesit washer to bits lol and sold the near new parts on a well known auction site!!!!!!! Amazing how many people are looking for parts for Indesit washers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you have better luck than we did with Indesit :)
