Cheers I already have the KAK cleaner and its telling me I don't have the KAK worm. I'm not sure how to access the files and delete them.
Thanks again. BTW I'm not using OE but Mozilla0 -
hhm, seems to be a few variants of this... I haven't seen an infection of this type for some time, but doesn't mean its not around.

No joy. I've downloaded the removal tool again and its telling me I haven't got the KAK worm. There are instructions for removing the worm from Windows 95 and 98 but not for XP. It says the worm doesn't work on XP.
Anyone help?

Thanks, just been checking my Norton settings as I can't access certain sites such as E Bay;
Privacy Control on
Ad Blocking on
Norton Anti Spam on
Parental Control Off
Are these set right? No kids at home.0 -
take a look at your hosts file
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/IEtopten.mspx
it should only have the line local host.
some malware/viruses add Norton and others to the blocked list so you cannot updateEx forum ambassador
