I personally wouldn't do a thing, if the EA can get people to view the property with these photos then your mum has a better chance of getting new neighbors.
Hopefully these buyers may have more pride in the garden.0 -
Absolutely snap - we have the same thing at the moment.
We own a plot of land which goes to the canal with a lovely bit of decking on it. A few doors down someone is selling up and they have a bit of land next to ours with some paving on it.
The EA have taken a pic and our whole decking is in the pic.
A friend of mine called me and asked if we were selling up [not likely] and i called the EA to complain. Of course nothing was done.
The Vendors a few doors down today had a go at me saying 'if you have a problem with us or our garden - come to us first' - but I don't think they quite get it - we don't have a problem with their garden - more our garden looking like it is for sale with their house. And I assume it was the EA that took the photo so that's the first point of call in my book.
Anyhow - I made the complaint to the EA but without them doing anything about it - there's not much that can be done...I agree EAs are pond life of the lowest order...but if the Vendor allows them to get away with it so what can you do?
wish to complain to the EA and trading standards!! i want the the picture removed from the details, but i need a copy and i was registered with this EA company at the nextdoor address when getting details on other houses they were offering a few years ago!! i have an unusual surname and may need to apply in the name of smith... i just think that if you are seeling a house with a crap garden details should be kept to a minimum!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. Regarding the "cheap trick", I wouldn't worry - as soon as prospective buyers turn up they're going to see the real garden.
dont get me started on gooogle maps if you pan in close enough you can see my car reg!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -
I once went to view a house , that seems to be below value. The EA, on passing on details, didn't say a word. I soon found out that the whole of the front garden had been sold to next door and the only access to the house was via the back door. I called the EA and she said they knew about it and didn't expect to be able to sell it without access at the front. One half of the world cannot understand the pleasures of the other0

also house has been on the market several days and has been in the local section of the local rag .. but the EA does not have it on his website!! he does not have premis as such and therefore no where to display photos .. he is therefore being more than selective where he supplies the image!!!!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. I totally agree with your argument, however if the house next door to me had an overgrown garden I would want new neighbors. The best way to achieve this is to get people to view the house and nobody is going to view it with a picture of a s*** garden.0

but then if you are trying to sell a house with a s*** garden then dont mention it (just say 70ft back garden) dont phot someone elses for the details - concentrate on the positives of the house!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. if the house next door sells for a higher price you would only benefit from it ?All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30
