We are going on cruise this sumer and the rules are you have to register a credit card for use on ship..however i want to take one out with a period of % interest for at least 6 mnths so i can comfortably pay back what i spend and where i will not be charged for it being used ' overseas '.

I'm afraid there isn't a card that meets all your requirements.
Nationwide and Post Office cards don't charge a foreign loading, but only offer 0% on purchases for 3 months.0 -
Will depend on what cruise ship you are going on. Many of the ships have £s as their currency. Just back from one in the Caribbean and all went through in £s so foreign loading not applicable. I went for a Halifax card with 12 months on purchases - Martin had this on his Cards section not available in branch only online (was also 12 months on balance transfers but fortunately I have no balance) bill for 2 weeks cruise (drinks, trips and photos etc was £400 for 2 of us)0
