I have recent experience of Capital One and I'm NOT impressed. My advice to anyone seeking to take out a CC with them is DON'T! All I requested was to transfer a balance from an existing CC in order to take Capital One up on their 0% offers. They kept telling me that there was a glitch in their system and it would be sorted out in 7 - 10 days. Two months later I began to incur interest on my existing CC which rather cancelled out the benefits of transferring to Capital One in the first place!
The other problem was not being able to fully understand accents from abroad - but that's a totally different story!!
My advice is 'Keep Out' there's nothing number 1 about capital One.
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong category - I'm just trying to help out.
Best wishes to one and all.

But we already have accounts with them, not by choice.
However if i could get an offer on them i could transfer a large majority of my debt to them.
Any 0% offer helps, and stops me from needing to apply for ANOTHER credit card, although i understand your frustration.
Have you looked at an MBNA or Virgin Card (MBNA essentially)8,000 / 10,000 saved. Another 2,000 by April 2011!0 -

I don't particularly rate them either but I have the largest credit limit between all but cards with them of 12k and could transfer a huge chunk of my debt to them if they could offer a decent deal-even if there was a fee involve..problem is when I recently contacted them I got nothing at all, hence wondering if bypassing them through their retention department was worth a shout!!!Debt at lightbulb moment (June 2007) was £31,738.19Debt as of 1st January 2010 was £21,905.82
