Plasplug Disc Tile Cutter Problems

Last week I bought a Plasplug 'Pro Plus' disc tile cutter for £36. During assembly I noticed that the metal bracket supporting the protective hood was rather flimsy, and later that the removable ridged plastic work surface did not click properly into place (due to a faulty piece of moulding).
Has anyone had similar problems and should I get a refund, or just replace it? Can anyone recommend another disc cutter? I saw one in Tops Tiles (for about £29) which seemed quite sturdy.

Wickes or Screwfix do some better ones I think. I got one (maybe the same as yours) from B&Q its a bit small and the plastic does require a whack now and again to pop into place. You can the above ones with a metal cutting surface which is better than the plastic one. Take it back if you haven't used it and get a better one...0

Thanks adaze. The one I bought is fairly large but no matter how I thwack it, the top still won't snap in.So I'll take it back.
Also thanks Corgi Guy, I'll check them both out.0 -
Take it back. I have the next model down with smaller table and used it for tiling the kitchen. The ridged plastic table takes ages to clean up after and on mine one of the red clips on the yellow cutting guide snapped. Also i found that you had to constantly check that the cutting guide was clipped to the table at 90degrees with my square as it's easy to clip the guide on at an angle and not realise it. For straight cuts a mark and snap type mechanical tile cutter would have been easier...but for more complex cuts the electric tile cutter proved itself useful.
