Mortgage offer

I dont know if this is in the right place (if not, mods please move) I've just received my morgage offer in writing, and now I dont know what I'm supposed to do. I read somewhere that I need to sign something and take it to the conv solicitor but theres nothing to sign in with the mortgage offer. On the offer letter it says the conv solicitor will send me something to sign but they havent mentioned anything.
Which is right?
I dare say I'm panicking about nothing as I really need this sale to go through ASAP as the buyer for this house wants to exchange/complete this Friday (not gonna happen but I'd like to do it as soon as I can afterwards).
Can anyone say stress overload? :D

Smile, be happy and de-stress !!

You've got your mortgage offer !!

Now, phone your solicitor and arrange to see him. Do not sign anything until you've discussed the offer with your solicitor. He will want to check and make sure what, if any, conditions are being imposed by the Lender.

Just impress upon your solicitor the urgency but as you say the chances of completing this week are less than slim as obviously 'exchange of contracts' as yet to take place.

Hope you're happy in your new home.

Unfortunately my solicitor is on holiday until after the bank holiday so all I'm getting from her office is 'someone will call you back' GRRR!
My buyers want to exchange and complete on the same day, which I'm not complaining about as they've been messing me about for nearly three months and the vendors of the new house want to complete ASAP too. So as soon as I can get the stupid mortgage deed signed up, I can finally talk dates.
I'm hoping I can do the 2nd or 3rd of Sept but the longer it takes to get the mortgage sorted the later we'll have to move (and it has to be on a weekend as SO cant take time off work)

    Sorry for venting :D
